Predominantly “Sedentary Work” as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational titles (DOT). Lifting 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as files, ledgers and small equipment. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The IT Administrative Assistant is responsible for receptionist duties in the IT main office, including answering telephones and greeting visitors to the department. The IT Administrative Assistant is also responsible for a variety of administrative duties including asset tracking, analysis and audit of IT expenses, facility turnover procedures, and other administrative support duties as assigned.


  1. Answering and directing phone calls to IT department
  2. Coordinating and planning meetings
  3. Recording of meetings
  4. Maintaining records for all internet, fax voice, and cell phone accounts
  5. Maintain records for all IT software licenses, cost and service agreements
  6. Assist with annual budget forecasting for IT
  7. Assist with processing new service orders and canceling unneeded/termed services
  8. Assists IT department with shipping and receiving of computer systems
  9. Coordinate new facility startup and termed facility closeout procedures
  10. Processing of status change forms for employee change requests associated with:
    • Employee portal
    • Company website
    • All other applicable programs
